Try using the "Thesis Matrix" handout and xl worksheet in Dropbox to complete a working topic sentence / thesis statement for Monday. 

A Topic Sentence might look like:  With a      tone, Jane Kenyon  (insert utility verb) the (insert defining noun - defines the subject/idea) nature of (abstract noun - abstract idea found in the work). Then try to unpack the support and commentary for your assertion.
