Hamlet seems visibly changed according to Ophelia. What do you think he's up to in this interaction and why does he choose Ophelia?
Additionally, we learn quite bit more about Polonius. What are his intentions and motivations in 1)spying on Laertes and 2) in running to Claudius with news that Hamlet is madly in love with Ophelia?
I typed in a whole paragraph and then its all like sign in and then retype it........ so here's the abridged version:
ReplyDeleteHow Ophelia describes Hamlet doesn't sound anything like what we've learned Hamlet's character to be like. I think she might just be lying to get attention, but the words are confusing sometimes so i might be missing a few key details. I also think that Polonius is low key trying to ruin Hamlet by constantly snitching to the king every time something happens. Maybe he's trying to organize a ku (hope thats spelled right) so that he can take the thrown. Which would explain all the spying. Or maybe he's just being a teacher's pet.(which i guess is a King's pet in this case). Can anyone offer me any guidance on this?
